Heather Jones
Heather has been practicing and studying yoga for approximately 17 years and has received training as an instructor as part of the lineage of Swami Sivananda Radha (1911-1995) at the Yasodhara Ashram B.C.. Heather has trained in a variety of other systems including Astanga, Kripalu, Phoenix Rising Yoga Therapy, Restorative Yoga, Partner/Contact Yoga and Pre/Post Natal and she incorporates a variety of techniques into her classes.
Heather is dedicated to continually upgrading her training and enjoys learning new styles and treatments to share with her clients. She brings the Eastern Yogic teachings to the public in a practical, fun and creative way and uses humour, laughter and a light-hearted approach. Heather's style of teaching Yoga is gentle and flowing; focusing on Vinyasa sequencing and classical Hatha Yoga principles to bring unity, strength and balance to the body and mind.
Heather also incorporates many personal experiences from her own healing journey and ongoing practices with yoga and meditation. She has in-depth training with various courses in anatomy & physiology, holistic therapy, herbology, iridology, aromatherapy and blending, Reiki, and Indian bodywork/massage. With credentials from the University of Calgary, Wild Rose College of Natural Healing, and Kootnay School of Rebalancing.
Heather believes the practice of Yoga is so much more than just learning a few stretches and postures. She lovingly guides her students into a deeper understanding of themselves and how to live with more grace and harmony - on and off the mat.
Nadia Esposito
Nadia has been practicing Thai Yoga Massage since 2005. She recieved her training from the Lotus Palm School of Thai Yoga Massage and is certified in Ayurveda, Thai Yoga Therapy and Pre-Natal Thai Massage. Her intuitive and gentle spirit guide her to giving each client just what they need. Nadia's touch is compassionate and peaceful, promoting deep relaxation and release for the recipient.
She loves helping people through Thai Massage and Ayurveda because it improves their life in simple, natural ways. Nadia has had successful experiences working with clients suffering hip, back, and shoulder pain, sciatica, headaches, low energy, depression, and digestive complaints. In November 2007 Nadia began studying with Andrea Olivera in Toronto and is now excited to be offering Ayurvedic Facials. Both Lotus Palm and The Andrea Olivera Centre for Ayurveda are leading teachers in North America.
Also passionate about yoga, she completed the Radiant Child Yoga Teacher Training with Shakta Kaur Khalsa in 2006. A teacher to all ages, Nadia enjoys sharing yoga with every body. She teaches at Santosha Yoga Studio, Rose City Seniors Centre, Port Colborne Library and Daycare Centres throughout Niagara. Inspired by the teachings of Heather Jones, Roxanne Stolk, Donna Farhi, Gurmukh Kaur Khalsa, and TKV Desikachar, Nadia's classes are a blend of hatha, vinyasa, and kundalini yoga. Each class is taught according to participants age and abilities, making yoga accesible to all.
